St. Vincent Haven names Lewis development director

NEWARK — St. Vincent Haven, a men’s shelter in Newark, announced it has hired Laura Lewis as development director.

Lewis, of Granville, who retired last year as senior vice president at Park National Bank, enjoyed a 36-year career in the banking industry. She was recently honored with the Ohio State University-Newark’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

The Columbus Foundation awarded St. Vincent Haven an anonymous grant, which required the addition of a development professional. St. Vincent Haven’s mission is “to provide emergency housing to men who are homeless, with the goal of building the individual’s life skills as a foundation for future growth and stability that will lead to housing security.”

Lewis is involved in the local non-profit community and serves on the boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation, Newark Catholic High School Foundation, The Midland Theater and St. Francis de Sales Finance Council.
